The 'Make a Real Difference' initiative is now in its second year
Share Master of Commerce students showcased their innovative solutions to real-world issues in Southeast Asia as part of the ‘Make a Real Difference’ initiative.Postgraduate students in the University of Sydney Business School put their creative, analytical and problem-solving skills to the test in June as part of the ‘Make a Real Difference’ initiative. Run by the Business School and supported by SSEAC, the initiative tasks students with devising innovative solutions to real-world challenges in Southeast Asia. Students identify a problem to address and work in small groups to produce a detailed business case, timeline, budget, and presentation outlining their proposed solution. In setting up the inaugural program in 2022, SSEAC’s academic members provided students with detailed guidance on topic areas and produced ten stand-alone videos that gave students an overview of each country in Southeast Asia, including cultural, political and business considerations. https://www.sydney.edu.au/sydney-southeast-asia-centre/news/2023/07/05/creative-minds-craft-solutions-to-southeast-asia-challenges.

Hey people,
No one is a born leader. They learn to lead with time and circumstances. As a business owner, I have the responsibility of leading my business and team. I have left no stone unturned in making sure that I keep them satisfied and happy. However, there are times when I falter and it affects my employee turnover. A few years ago, I faced a situation where my employees targeted me for favouritism towards my son who is a senior manager in the firm. I realised my mistake and took the desired action. I am sharing an article that will shed some light on the same topic. https://www.business2sell.com.au/blogs/strategy/leadership-weaknesses-and-how-to-fix-them Snowy Hydro will not be able to move its stuck tunnel-boring machine (TBM) until it proves to the New South Wales environment department that doing so will not cause "further damage" to the environment in Kosciuszko National Park.
The 143-metre-long TBM Florence ground to a halt last year, after a 9-metre-deep hole appeared on the surface above it in Kosciuszko National Park. The NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DPIE) told the ABC in February it was investigating the incident and has now placed further environmental conditions on the boring operation. "Snowy Hydro must prepare a modification report that demonstrates how the project can safely progress without further environmental damage," the department said in a statement. Business ethics and social responsibility is a part of our work culture. We cannot remain oblivious to our responsibility towards the people and the society. We also have to think about the environment where we operate. Thus, the business has to develop core values that make it a credible entity in front of others. Whether you are dealing with buyers, stakeholders, employees or suppliers, you must maintain the highest standard of integrity and honesty. It helps to increase brand awareness and customer loyalty. Businesses can even hire and attract talented employees and retain them. I am sharing an article to explain this. www.business2sell.com.au/blogs/evaluation/why-ethics-and-social-responsibility-matter-to-modern-businesses 4/14/2023 0 Comments Chinese investors call for mandatory translation of property rules, as fallout at one of Australia's largest apartment buildings continuesShanghai resident Louis Yu is proud of his four investment properties in Melbourne and found them easy to manage from China — until one of his apartments became a "headache".

The 29-year-old bank worker started house-sitting a year into the COVID-19 pandemic, thinking it was a loophole to staying with friends or paying for accommodation on a trip to Melbourne. But with rental properties becoming scarce, what started as a travel hack has become an ongoing state of flux for Mr McClure. "Because it was so easy to set up I just kept doing it," he said. I have been running my franchise business for the past five years and it has been a smooth ride for me. I started my career without any knowledge about the industry. However, I started to understand how it was necessary to learn about these things before entering into a legally binding contract. You must know how a franchise works and what the obligations of the franchisor and the franchisee are. Also, you must know about the Franchising Code of Conduct. It will help you understand your responsibilities and the laws that make the process regulated in Australia. To know more about these provisions, check out the article shared below. https://www.franchise2sell.com.au/blogs/franchise/a-complete-guide-to-franchising-in-australia Tyro Payments (ASX: TYR) has decided to put to bed a class action brought by disgruntled merchants at the end of 2021 by offering a settlement ahead of the matter going to court.
